I don't remember when we first spoke, but I do remember meeting Wendy and Santino and the conversations we had. Both pretty are laid back and quite the fun couple. In fact, I remembered our senses of humor and personalities clicked right from the start. This is always a great recipe for capturing great moments with any couple. For my father and I, We sincerely enjoyed every moment.
I wanted to thank The Century House Crew for feeding us all great food, and decorating the room beautifully. What a really festive wedding this was! Also, thanks to Scott Hemming from SEH Entertainment for rocking out thru the night. You kept us dancing and singing!
To you Wendy and Santino, I wanted to wish you the very best in life. Your children are amazing, your family is amazing. With everyone there to support your love for one another, you can't go wrong. Here is your teaser.
From the first moment I met them I knew, it was love.
I won't say too much here. But what I have to say is... Angie and Zack; You guys belong to one another. Watching your playful personalities just click and seeing your amazing sense of humor, laughter and fun shine on through. It honestly made closing out 2016 just a welcomed treat for us, we felt just over the moon excited for you two. You guys seem like you've been made from the same mold, separated by accident, only to have found each other again... even if you never knew of each other's existence. Of course I am speaking very metaphorically, but seriously... You both were the highlight of our 2016 year and the 2017 year to come. If my 2017 couples are half as fun as you guys were... We are going to have an amazing 2017!
Thank you guys! Stay Groovy! With Love,
Tom and Rich
Our Couples continue to amaze us! When I was told I was going to capture 2 High School friends on their wedding day, I was excited and its cute, but not really too out of the ordinary from some of the love stories I see everyday. When we learned that Jan and Mickey were getting married to one another 50 years after they first met. Well, I was floored. There is literally nothing I could find that I immediately didn't love about them. Both of them are kind, considerate, and loving individuals. Mickey is outgoing and always a character and Jan always appeared to be the beautiful subtle presence in the room. After all, of that.... and seeing them together. I have to say.... I think true love can be defined in many different ways, but there is nothing more powerful than love that has been 50 years in the making! Congrats Jan and Mickey! Love has no biases to age, gender or creed.
Thank you also to Lee Waddell for great music (and for referring Jan and Mickey to us) and thanks to the Glen Sanders Crew for making our jobs seamless and fun.
Not a lot of Weddings these days are planned in just under 2 weeks. Sometimes it takes months and years to find the right location, the right vendors and time to gather family. But...
in actuality.... some of the best moments and some of the best weddings are rarely ever ultra organized, planned far in advanced, and micro managed. For Rebecca, Seren and their families.... this was indeed a magical wedding day. For certain a wedding that my father and I will never forget, and we will cherish forever.
To you Rebecca and Seren... You guys pulled off a miracle. A feat 99% of all couples could only hope for and dream of. Your love for each other as well as the love of you families came shined through.... and that is a blessing in itself! My Father and I thank you for having us witness such and amazing time in your lives.
When I was in College, I used to frequent The Crooked Lake House. At the time, it was during the Swing/ Ballroom Dance revival... where big bands became "a thing" again. It meant so much to me to be able to patron such an historic place, the mood, ambiance and emotional connection I had at the time was and always will be memorable. So, to be asked to come back by Faith and her (now) husband Josh to capture their wedding day, well, those emotions came flooding back.
What an amazing day with the Toomey and Skibbee families! As photographers, its easy to gloss over the routine of any wedding or event. But we don't. We reval in moments like these. Moments especially designed to allow everyone to connect on an emotional level.
Well all I have to say is Thank You to the crew at Old Daley's Crooked Lake House for making everything flow well. Thanks to TS Ensemble for playing us some rocking Band riffs. But of course, THANK YOU to you Faith and Josh for asking my father and I to come back to the place that meant so much to me as a young man. We've had a few weddings this year at the Crooked Lake House, but for some reason.... this one felt extra special. Please enjoy your teaser! Congrats Again!

So my father and I remembered photographing Jessica and Mike's Engagement session last year, and what struck us immediately about these 2, was the love they showed each other the entire time while we were shooting. Sometimes, it takes a little more "comfort coaxing" as I like to call it to get a couple relaxed enough to be themselves in front of the camera. Well, I am proud to say we didn't have that situation at all. They seem to show that love as much in private as they do in public. At that point we knew, that wedding was going to be amazing.
Also, we couldn't have been more welcomed and honored by being there for their entire family. Everyone seemed to have a joy about them, a spark that shined bright. With that said, THANK YOU Jessica and Mike for having us play a small part in your wedding day. It honestly meant the world to us. We can't wait to show you the complete gallery of photos we are creating, but we thought perhaps this teaser would suffice! Thanks Again,
Tom and Rich.
As strange as it may seem for me to say this. I will say it anyway. This was our first Same Sex Engagement Session we've ever had the privilege to capture. We've photographed couples for 16 years, from nearly every demographic, except from the LGBT community. Finally, we can proudly and lovingly say that we couldn't have asked for a more amazing couple to have spent the day with. When Kristine and Carrie approached us asking if we would come down to Washington, DC to do this shoot with them, we were sincerely overjoyed.
In fact, words really can't express the emotions my dad and I felt heading down to meet them. Going down to DC we felt energized and so pumped to be there with Kristine and Carrie. We spent about 4-5 hours talking wedding plans, about life in DC, careers...etc. We shot at their favorite breakfast bistro, in the park nearby their home, at the capitol, in the streets, by George Washington Monument , Lincoln Memorial, and by the reflecting pool. We even "Ubered" around a bit. By the end of the night, they graciously paid for our taxi ride back (as we nearly ran over a few joggers thanks to our eccentric cabby) Haha.... and presto. When my father and I returned to our hotel room to end the night, my father said, "I miss them already." Honestly, so did I. We both saw not just an amazing couple, but a couple (no matter gay or straight) that loved each other so deeply... that it appeared as though it was meant to be. Written in the stars. They are two halves that make one confident, strong, and passionate family.
On our plane ride home my father and I kept saying to each other "we have to keep in touch. We have to stay in contact with these lovely ladies." And we will I thought. As we sat down in our cramped coach seats on the plane, my father continued "Their wedding can't come fast enough." I nodded in agreement.
To you Kristine and Carrie, THANK YOU for being our "First". I know it may sound tacky and a little strange. But we mean it with all heart and sincerity. But let me clarify, you were not "just" our first same sex couple engagement session. You were our first couple (out of hundreds we've capture before) whom we knew and could feel that this connection you, Kristine and Carrie have is something all other couples wish they had. The love you have for each other is so powerful, we could feel and see it pouring out into the streets! You've taught us what LOVE really is. Hold on to that Love, never let it go, and never give-up on each other, because what you have is what more of this world needs. We thank you, and we love you!

Justin Timberlake was a guest at Gilli and Derek's Wedding, well, at least in Spirit and Face mask. If you are totally lost about what I am talking about then you have to see our little teaser below! Because we had so many laughs and so much fun with this couple... we could hardly contain ourselves. I huge thanks to the entire staff at Sixty State Place, yes Nadine I am talking about you too. You made it awesome! Also thanks to Scott Hemming from SEH Entertainment for keeping our Timberlake grooves flowing and keeping everyone up and rocking out.
Most importantly THANK YOU to GIlli and Derek and your whole family for asking us to capture and create some awesome moments during your day. We love you, and loved your wedding day. We need more couples just like you! Thanks so very much. Now, lets see if we can find Mr. Timberlake in this righteous teaser!
We all talk about living a life that is good, and blessed and meaningful. Well, no one best exemplifies these words and moments than the couple we photographed over this past weekend. We were so honored to be able to capture their day. They asked us if we can primarily capture candids, and we did it! Proudly! Thank you again to you both and your entire family!
With Love, Tom and Rich.
Although they got married in Italy, we had the distinct pleasure of being there for Taylor and Joe for their Reception back in Troy, NY at Lucas Confectionary's Wine Bar.
Truly a great time. Thank you guys for allowing us to capture this very special event in your lives.
To this day I can't remember how we met Linda and Michael, or even how they found us. Sometimes when I get the opportunity to meet and work with so many amazing couples throughout the year (especially during the busy season), the last thing I usually think about is how our photographic relationship ever started. I know what your thinking... it sounds so impersonal. But I can guarantee every couple we photograph that is not how it begins or ends.... but the journey we take together.
So what I remember the most was the sincere love and passion Linda and Michael had for each other, their children and for life itself. I must have mentioned to anyone who was willing to listen that day that I knew, "They are going to be together forever."
Throughout the day and by the end of our evening, I just knew this couple was special. This is why I photograph weddings. Love comes in many forms and through many different paths in life; but when I watch a family live this sort of "love" with intensity, compassion and most importantly, longevity. It makes what I do all the more important. It memories like these we love to create.
Linda and Michael, you guys are one amazing family. My father and I were sincerely honored to be there for your entire family. Thank you to you all. Also a big thanks to Phil and his crew at the Century House for also making our jobs all the more enjoyable. A finally shout out goes to Mike Garrasi from Music Man Entertainment for keeping the tunes flowing and keeping us tapping to the beat while we shoot. You're awesome my friend.
Linda and Michael... here is your teaser.
A few months back we had the pleasure of meeting (for the first time) and photographing Melissa and John during their Engagement Session in Jersey. Based on our first meeting, I just knew we were in for a beautiful wedding with an epically dynamic couple that really shows the world why dedication, confidence and love are a few of the building blocks of a great marriage.
My father and I wanted to personally thank you Melissa and John for having us be apart of your wedding day. In our eyes, and from what we captured, we believe we created some of the most stunning images with a couple at the Century House! A huge thanks must go out to the Century House Crew, Dj Maestro, and of course the entire Carter and De La Nuez family!! We love you and we can't wait to show you the rest soon. Here is your teaser...
Nearly 2 weeks ago we captured one of the most fun filled weddings with tons of personality than we've experienced in a long while. The Mohawk River Country Club crew catered perfectly with amazing food, and DJ Eric from Cool Cats Entertainment kept the beat rocking.
As for Rachel and Ted, I have to say.... we couldn't have been more proud for these guys! Their crazy and fun attitudes just kept us going throughout the entire day!! And thats what my father and I loved about them. If we thought they were fun individually.... wait until you see them together. In fact, .... here they are right now!!
Love you guys Rachel and Ted... and of course your entire family!! Thank You so very much
It was a beautiful day on September 10th. A little humid, a little windy, but a lot of love was in the air as we celebrated Michelle and Kevin's Wedding day at the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Albany, NY. A huge thank you to Michelle and Kevin for allowing us to capture your day. My father and I sincerely had a great time. We hope you will enjoy this teaser just as much as we enjoyed creating it. Also a quick shout out to Scott Hemmings for Djing the night away. Great stuff!
All the Best, Enjoy!
So this wedding was actually pretty special for us. It was special because as photographers its important to get to know those that you are photographing and capturing. It was special because our couple came from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, quite a distance from our studio. For Months we spoke on the phone, emailed... texted...etc. It all worked out good.
Then when I finally got to meet Meghan and Mark for the first time in person (on their wedding day.) I knew we were in for something amazing and beautiful. Sometimes as photographers we may be unsure of how the day will progress not knowing the Bride and Groom's likes and dislikes before hand. Right way we realized his was going to be great. A First Look at the Saratoga Track, and then wedding at the Canfield Casino was just the ticket!
This was one Classy and Stunning wedding. Thank you Meghan and Mark.... much love to you both!! Enjoy
This was one Classy and Stunning wedding. Thank you Meghan and Mark.... much love to you both!! Enjoy
I think we are just going to let the photos do the talking on this one. But if we had to say anything it would be this. Victoria and Louis, you guys are one hell of an epic couple! Your dynamic, adventurous and look stunning together!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to capture your day. Also thanks to Lee Waddell for DJing!! You rock my friend.
Family. Love. These are the two words that best describe Jaycela's and Nugmans Wedding day.
It was clear to see to us as photographers how much Jaycela and Nugman sincerely love each other. But what was equally as beautiful was the love and respect they have for others around them. The care, love and respect they gave to everyone (including us) that day was amazing. These two lovely people who clearly come from different backgrounds, and cultural differences can make such life altering and stunning moments together. These two make a perfect example of how the world can (and should come together) with love, peace and hospitality.
For us as photographers, we too were treated as family which doesn't always happen at weddings. Sometimes "Vendors" are just that.... only "vendors." Then there are times like this where vendors are treated as family, or one of their own, and that is how it was for us. So with that said we are internally grateful for everyone's kindness and generosity. We will never forget this day and can't wait to show you the rest of your wedding day!! Jaycela and Nugman, here is your wedding day!!
Usually when I type up these blog teaser's I write a long "diary entry" sometimes. At least thats how it looks to me. But this time I will keep it short and sweet and let these amazing moments speak for themselves. Why? Because I think Christine and Ben will really know how much we enjoyed having them with us by seeing what we made for them!! I know it!
A huge thanks goes out to all the "cast and crew" at Proctors and Key Hall.... you guys were great to work with. An even bigger thanks though goes out to Christine and Ben, and your entire family and friends (obviously including your sweet bridal party). Every single individual went the extra mile to really help us create and capture truly epic moments.
To Metro Music, Patrick.... Thank you for keeping things rolling and keeping your peeps on the dance floor. Awesome. Christine and Ben.... Enjoy!! If you love these.... your going to adore the rest.
Its like a really good recipe. A dash of humor, a sprinkle of beauty and a whole lot of love and you have Meghan and Will's Wedding described in one powerful sentence! Now that is a recipe for perfection, not to mention amazing moments created and captured!!
As a father and son photography team we always try to look for the extraordinary in the every wedding. In this one, we didn't have to look too hard. Meghan and Will have such a great connection as do their families that it was easy peasy lemon squeezie (Yes I said it) to bring out the best in everyone.
The Ceremony was at the stunning St. Pius X Church in Loudenville and the reception at the Industrial and fashionable Revolution Hall at Brown's Brewery in Troy N.Y. Great times thanks to all the staff at Rev Hall, Cool Cats Entertainment for DJing the night away (Thanks Nick). But of course a HUGE thank you to Meghan and Will, a couple I will love and remember forever! You made us a happy team of Photogs!!
Here is your teaser.
