Hello again fellow readers,
Well, this week we are proud to pass off a few thoughts we have on what makes a great image, that in turn makes a great moment. Especially for our passionate clients.
First up: Gear. Although not the most important piece of the puzzle; Occasionally I am asked what kind of Photographic equipment we use. I am very honest and tell them this. "Not Nikon and not Canon. I am an X-Photographer." Now although many have no idea what that means, very basically it means I use primarily Fujifilm X series Pro equipment. These types of cameras, lens, amazing low light capability and image quality help to turn our ideas and moments I capture candidly into pure gold.
On top of that Fuji gear. We use specialty art lenses to capture the look and feel of beautifully, smooth, glowing and sharp moments you can't find within the other manufacturers lineup. With all of this in mind, nothing is as important as the person using the equipment themselves.
We have been dedicated and passionate in creating the very best images at weddings, during family portraits and even high school senior sessions. Our tools are our gear, as well as our creativity and knowledge of the arts.
So far we have gear and those who use the gear (the photographers) that make up the creativity of any given scene. BUT... What about those wonderful subjects we call our couples and clients? They play a pivotal and final role in helping to create that memory and help to make it last for a lifetime.
So finally, here is our little secret to what makes a great image, a great moment. Spontaneity and anticipation makes it beautiful. Our job that all of our dearest clients hire us for is to create and capture the greatest moments at their peak of gorgeousness. While we may stage a situation or "plant an idea" from time to time to see if it grows... it is always up to our awesome clients to make it happen. And they do, 110% of the time.
The spontaneity comes in when our clients are asked to "mess around" or "go have some fun." When that happens its the before and after moments that occur that makes everyone of those we snap worth every penny. You see in the end, our clients, those who become apart of our family (without sounding cliched) are what makes it happen. We can be placed in the roughest looking location, with a modest pocket camera and still create magic when our clients, our wonderful couples love to play along with us. Its that participation on our parts and our clients that help make magic.
Just take a look below... and see what we mean.
