We've Been Busy!

We received a lot of positive reactions to our beloved Wedding blog teasers. But since mid May, we've been bombarded with crazy amounts of Weddings and Boudoir work that, honestly, left us little time to post anything of substance. Now I know usually they say that "Something is better than nothing", but I don't think that "Something" would apply in this case. After all, quality is paramount to what we do.

But just because we've been busy doesn't mean we've forgotten about our Blog readers out there. We do plan on getting back into the swing of regular Blog posting, not until we catch up and create that time needed.

Here is just a fraction of a fraction of amazing moments we captured from Late May through August. Enjoy.

Jessica and Joel Wedding, May 28th 2017, The Desmond Hotel, Albany, NY

Last year, My father and I had the pleasure of capturing Jessica and Joel's Engagement Session at the Schenectady Rose Garden. From the first moment we captured, I thought... "Wow, these two really know how to bring out the best from each other." It felt like they were cut from the same cloth. Similar values, some likes, dislikes and attractions.

Of course going into their wedding day at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center I knew we were in for a treat.

As a rule of thumb when I do these Blog teasers, I always show a little bit of everything, or nearly everything... so all family and friends get a real taste or feel of what they can expect with the final gallery. But this time, I am changing it up, because we had so many amazing moments, it would be a daunting task to include it. So I chose quality over brevity. Here, I decided to (only) pick a few of my favorite moments and let our lovely Bride and Groom wait (just) a little longer for the big finale. As they say the best is yet to come!

Jessica and Joel, Thank you guys for spending the day with us. You, as well as your family and friends surely helped to make your wedding as stunningly beautiful as it was. My father and I had so much fun. Thanks for allowing us to "do our thang."

Also a shout out to the Desmond crew, Cool Cats Entertainment, and Lance Wheeler for keeping the day fun, positive and upbeat!

Here is your teaser.

Patricia and Jared Wedding, May 20th, 2017- Shaker Ridge Country Club, Albany, NY

At Shaker Ridge Country Club in Albany, NY, my father and I witnessed 1 amazing couple who simply love life, not too mention everything Star Trek and Star Wars related. Truly a couple after my own heart.

When I found out they were as Nerdy(or is it Geeky) I can never tell, as I am. My insides practically begged them to have me photograph their Wedding. Thankfully it happened and we had one amazing time.

Its always great to be able to connect with your couples on an "other worldly" level, it makes the wedding day feel like a true pleasure cruise on the USS Enterprise. I'd like to shout out to Diana as well from Shaker Ridge. She kept things fun, lite, and cheerful all the time, not to mention allowed us, the photographers, to really expand our creativity.  If you have your wedding any place, have it at Shaker Ridge and talk to Diana!! She rocks.

Patricia and Jared, Thank you both for having us there on your special day. We had tons of laughs, joked constantly and most importantly... we got great footage!

Check it out.

Britney and Marc Wedding- May 13th, 2017, The Raddison in Albany, NY

So we are very lucky to have friends. Now I know it sounds like a cliched statement, but its so profoundly true in the work we do. Without friends, we wouldn't have trust worthy referrals and without referrals, we would be subjected to advertising, which, lets face it. Advertising is Marketing Propaganda 101! Not that its a bad thing... but I'd much rather hear "all those good things" we do from true clients and friends, rather than our self promotions. We hate to hear ourselves talk! LOL

So this brings me to Brittany and Marc. If my father and I never knew Britney's mother and family (thru my wife), we most likely never would have found each other to capture their amazing day. There is always a possibility, but with the proliferation of new photographers jumping into the wedding scene these days... it would have been a slim chance at best. So thanks to my wife and her friendship with Brittany's Mom and Sister, we were able to spend an awesome day with an equally awesome couple.

Britney and Marc's wedding ceremony and reception took place at the always versatile and beautiful Raddison in Albany, NY. The staff there helped to really make it possible for Brittany and Marc to enjoy their day, without the stress or anxiety.  This is a huge deal when New York Wedding photography is involved. Michelle, from Ambiance Floral also supplied the awesome bouquets and boutonnieres. Also thanks to Complete DJ for keeping the party going all night. It was fun.

Finally Britney and Marc, THANK YOU both for having us there with you. As a team, we created some amazing moments... and I happen to believe your going to love this teaser. We believe in you! Thank you for believing in us!

Enjoy.

Caitlin and Sal Wedding- April 29th, 2017; Mohawk Golf Club

So we are finally back with another amazing wedding blog for you. First off....

I can't believe how much fun my father and I had with Caitlin and Sal. They are laid back, funny and love to laugh. If that was all we knew about them, that would be enough for us. Every moment we captured and created had the "vibe" of just plain, unbelievable fun.

We started out at the First United Methodist Church in Voorheesville, NY. This is where Caitlin prepared while the Sal and the gentlemen got ready at another location. A beautiful church with simple, striking lines and elegance.

Once the ceremony started, we knew something special was happening. After the ceremony and all the family and bridal party pictures were taken, we headed off to the Mohawk Golf Club to party the rest of the night. In short, it was ...again, nothing short of complete bliss.

Caitlin and Sal, THANK YOU for allowing us to play a small part in your day. I can see why your love and happiness shines through working at Hoffman's Playland in Latham must have done it.

Here is your teaser!

Diana and Anthony Wedding March 3rd, 2017, Schenectady City Hall; The Parker Inn

Last Friday we had an amazing time with Diana and Anthony for their wedding ceremony down at Schenectady's City Hall, NY. We spent some time creatively capturing some moments among the beautiful architectural interior as well as at The Parker Inn, off of Broadway.

Diana and Anthony, thank you for having us there. Thank you for allowing us to create photos that have a bit of style, flair and that amazing love shining through.

Wendy and Santino Wedding Jan. 7th, 2016- The Century House, Latham, New York

I don't remember when we first spoke, but I do remember meeting Wendy and Santino and the conversations we had. Both pretty are laid back and quite the fun couple. In fact, I remembered our senses of humor and personalities clicked right from the start. This is always a great recipe for capturing great moments with any couple. For my father and I, We sincerely enjoyed every moment.

I wanted to thank The Century House Crew for feeding us all great food, and decorating the room beautifully. What a really festive wedding this was! Also, thanks to Scott Hemming from SEH Entertainment for rocking out thru the night. You kept us dancing and singing!

To you Wendy and Santino, I wanted to wish you the very best in life. Your children are amazing, your family is amazing. With everyone there to support your love for one another, you can't go wrong. Here is your teaser.

Angela and Zack Wedding - New Years 2016, Raddison Hotel, Albany, New York

From the first moment I met them I knew, it was love.

I won't say too much here. But what I have to say is... Angie and Zack; You guys belong to one another. Watching your playful personalities just click and seeing your amazing sense of humor, laughter and fun shine on through. It honestly made closing out 2016 just a welcomed treat for us, we felt just over the moon excited for you two. You guys seem like you've been made from the same mold, separated by accident, only to have found each other again... even if you never knew of each other's existence. Of course I am speaking very metaphorically, but seriously... You both were the highlight of our 2016 year and the 2017 year to come. If my 2017 couples are half as fun as you guys were... We are going to have an amazing 2017!

Thank you guys! Stay Groovy! With Love,

Tom and Rich
