Finding the “Right Vendor” for your wedding day can sometimes feel like walking into a cafe with 30+ variations on a single cup of coffee all while you're staring at the massive list of drinks wondering… “How can I possibly choose?”
Well Thankfully…Choosing a Vendor (No matter if he/she is a Photographer, DJ or Coordinator) is not like choosing a good cup of Joe. In fact, choosing your “Team” to help make your day special shouldn’t be frustrating nor give you too much anxiety. Why?
Simply put. … Prioritizing how you think about your decision making process on who will be apart of your team is monumental. For example, When choosing your Photographer, there are a couple things to look for and think about such as: 1.) How well is your Photographer understanding your vision and is he/she getting along with you both? How are they around your guests? kids? pets? What is their personality like? Are they a more controlled “a take charge” kind of photographer… or are they more laid back and likes to let the day create itself? Or, are they somewhere in between. However you prefer your Photographer to interact with you and your guests… These are important questions because after all you will be with this person almost exclusively all day until the end of your reception. Having a rapport, connection and understanding with your photographer is 110% thee most important part of hiring the right one for you.
2.) Is the Photographer your looking at able to build their package around your vision for your day, or are they trying to “fit” you into one of their packages? Having a Photographer with the willingness and ability to customize and tailor their work to your day is probably the single greatest way to hire someone that can give you exactly what you're looking for, perhaps with the budget you were hoping for.
3.) Its easy. Do you love their work? Are their photographs are artistic, or are they more photo journalistic? Perhaps you love the photographers personality but aren’t exactly sure of their “style”…. Are they able to adapt to your requests? Can they, Will they create imagery you’d prefer? Having a Photographer who is adaptable in all situations would certainly give you that boost of confidence when deciding on who to hire for your Wedding Day.
